Every business has its share of ups and downs. If you are currently experiencing more of the downs, don’t give up—keep working with patience and determination! One day, all your hard work and perseverance will bear fruit, just as it has for Imron, the owner of Raja Bakery, located in Cirebon, West Java.
Imron’s journey began in 1992, when he had just graduated from elementary school. Coming from a humble background and with limited education, Imron had few choices but to start working at a very young age.
He recounts that he was an “apprentice” from 1992 until 2000. However, once he felt he had gained enough experience, he decided to start his own business. His motivation was to “succeed like others.”
Imron founded Raja Bakery in 2001. Initially, he faced many obstacles, including a lack of customers. Nevertheless, he remained patient, continuously innovating to stay competitive in the market.
Marketing was another challenge for him. To address this, Imron studied customer preferences and created bread with shapes and flavors that were popular in the market. He was also open to feedback from vendors and kept up with trends.
Thanks to these strategies, Raja Bakery continued to progress. From initially producing only 5 bales per day, production has now reached 30-40 bales per day. Raja Bakery now has 3 factories, 10 delivery vehicles, and employs 50 people. The bakery’s market reach has expanded to cover areas including Kuningan, Cirebon, Indramayu, Bekasi, Purbalingga, Pemalang, Sukabumi, Tasikmalaya, Garut, Sumedang, and Bandung.

Now, after more than two decades of building the business, Imron feels satisfied with what he has achieved. He can enjoy the sweet fruits of his labor with his beloved family. “Now, I can have anything I want and go anywhere,” he says.
Imron’s story of building Raja Bakery is proof that success doesn’t come instantly. But with determination, hard work, and perseverance, we can turn our dreams into reality.
Reflecting on his personal experience, Imron advises young entrepreneurs to stay motivated, never give up easily, be patient, and fight for their families.
